Amy Whitley is a travel, Op-Ed and fiction writer; magazine editor; and gear reviewer. She owns a worn copy of Elements of Style, and isn't afraid to use it.
Amy is a professional writer, website publisher and travel editor, which means that yes, she travels for a living. It's good work if you can get it. Except for the (non-existent) health insurance benefits. And all those airline delays. And altitude sickness, and...anyway. What else? She's a feminist, identifies as queer, loves her home state of Oregon fiercely, and is passionate about conservation. She loves wine, whiskey, and winters in the Pacific Northwest. She's one of those annoying people who is early for everything and writes everything down. She and her partner Charlie have raised three young people almost to adulthood with pretty decent success. Amy is currently shopping a women's fiction/literary fiction novel, and is represented by Abby Saul of The Lark Group. She is a member of the Women's Fiction Writer's Association, AWP, SATW, and ATTA.
